The Danes regularly top the tables when it comes to happiness ratings by country. That’s quite a feat given the nonsense weather and lack of sunshine hours they put up with – so it makes sense that everyone wants to know their secret.

We’re always being told how great plants are – you know, helping us breathe and all that. So it makes sense that there are plenty of articles and tips on mindfulness out there that encourage you to ‘bring the outside in’ and add some green goodness to your home.
I don’t know about you, but I tend to gravitate towards things that provide escapism when I’m feeling low. Familiar books, Friends re-runs and Lilo and Stitch are just some of my ‘go-to’s. At my last visit to the local library, I stumbled across Hector and the Search for Happiness.
